Korea Trip :)
Ello ppl....long time never blog le....didn't do much...so never blog...almost every day stay at home watch tv...surf net....eat...sleep....din't do much....
ok.... today updating abt my korea trip....my 1st time going to korea...as well as my first xmas and new year not in s'pore.... usually is nov or beginning of dec go holiday de....now os end le...nothing to do can go late holiday...hahax....this also remind mi that results are out soon -.- .....
Day 1
Sat de 2 plus am flight on asiana airline...reach there at 9 plus korea time....(1 hr ahead) its a 6h flight...upon arrival at incheon airport (seoul)...we were greeted by de breeze of cold air...so nice... hmmm...its around -4 degrees....its so cool...after standing in de open for like 5mins it felt as if my face is frozen....numb...LOL.... ran to de bus...its warm in there...bt the seat is frozen....ice cold....
Ate lunch at a restaurant around 40mins away? around there....its something like a steamboat...i got take pic....u can see all de pics either here of at facebook soon....quite different frm wat we eat in s'pore...they got tang hoon in there....
After lunch...went shopping at dongdaemun...their new shopping center and de underground shopping area...din't buy anything though....so exp....although de korean won dropped...its still darn exp....think if it din't drop...many ppl would think many times b4 making de purchase....instead i went to drink coffee....its nice...hot coffee during de winter is extra nice....
went to de airport again....this time for an internal flight to jeju island...its around an hour journey...by the time we reached there....its so dark....during winter de nights are long...at 5 plus its as dark as 10pm in sg...
Ate stone pot rice at a restaurant facing sea side...its creepy...de waves at huge and tall...too bad i can't take a pic of it....as its too dark...and too cold to go nearer....at night its around -9 degrees or more? trust mi...after u see that...u will think twice b4 taking a dip at de beach....
After dinner...went to the hotel....i stay at t.h.e h.o.t.e.l (dats de name -.-)....quite nice....during winter dun need aircond de...juz open 5cm of de window and u'll get air colder den aircond...
Day 2
Morning call at 5.30am...dats 4.30am in sg...omg...so early...lack of sleep....had abalone porriage for breakfast....de abalone there is cheap...sea side ma....4 abalone cost sgd 30plus only....
Went to seongsan ichubong next...de wind is freezing...a lot of ppl never climb de "hill" ....think only 3 other ppl other than my parents and my self went up (ppl frm de same bus)....it was freezing at first...after reaching de top....my face is numb le....not cold le....de view is nice....
came down...bought some chocolates and head of to the folk village...its de village where they film de show "da chang jing"...de place contain preserved korean village houses which now became tourist attraction...
went to de teddy bear museum next....its de place where they fim de show "princess hours" or "gong"...got a lot of cute bears there...de teddys on display are placed in a way that shows some historical events...there is also the teddy bears showed on princess hours....very cute...
went to tap dong street for more shopping....quite similar to dongdaemun ....din't stay there for long as we have another flight to take....this time its a flight to daegu...upon arrival...did more shopping at went for dinner before heading to de hotel..this time is de "grand daegu hotel"...
Day 3
Again we had to wake up so early...we woke up early everyday except de last 2 days....had breakfast before going to visit de korean temple...de place is very cold...de lake is frozen....de road had patches of ice too....
Had a long bus ride to Yongpyong Dragon Valley ski resort next....around 4hrs...its de place where they film de show "winter sonata"....by de time we reach there its around 4 plus le...so we could only ski at nite...its my 1st time on de skis...found it hard to use at first...after a while can roughly ski le....but still cannot break fast....dunno why...didn't go all de way up hill to ski down....its madness for newbies to do that....heard that 1 week b4 we went there...someone 1st time skiing went up de hill to ski down....end up rolling down instead...her eye balls almost came out...lucky for her...de medic noe wat to do and sent her to hospital straight away...
skiied for around 3hrs b4 heading for dinner....after dinner...went to de hotel room which is facing de skiing area and watch de show on chain eruption...creepy...
Day 4
Bought cable car ticket and went up dragon peak...de highest point of de mountain? went to de cafe where de actors drink coffee at in winter sonata....someone hu is in de same bus as us proposed to his gf....LOL....so funny...our tour guide's sacasm and de photographers blowing of the flute.....
Went to de Decksan spa castle next....its de place where we will stay for de nite....its so darn cold...so my parents and i did not follow em to de spa place....its indoor and out door....its very cold...watch tv in de room....de tv at this place is de best of all...other hotel that i stayed at...at most got 30 channel only...this one got 100plus....cool....fun channel surfing....u ppl might find 30 channels a lot....but after u minus korean channels with NO ENG OR CHINESE SUBTITLES...we're left wif 4 channels...sometime 2....end up watching shopping tv...lol...they got 2 or 3 channels on tv telling u wat new products are there...how much they cost...and number to call to order....
Day 5
Went to Everland...its something like space world or disney land....this is de 1st of 2 theme parks dat i went on the trip....i was very lucky on de trip...cox it SNOWED...yeah....i went to de safari ride...followed by de 3d show...as well as walked around de animal corner b4 walking bck up to see de shops up there...on de way up...it started to snow....i've been to colder places last time and it did not snow...yet its a mere -5 degrees and it started to snow...dats y i sae i'm lucky....( -5 degrees is considered warm le...last time i ever experienced -20plus on top of a mountain)
Had dinner after dat...and went to de hotel and rest for de nite.
Day 6
Went to make Kimchi for charity...they told us that the kimchi we made will be donated to de childrens home...dat place also have de korean costumes for ppl to try if they want....i did not try....bt my mom did....next...went to take pics at de shop where they film de show "coffee prince ".....after dat...went to a ginseng showroom to see de different type of ginseng....after dat had lunch....went to outside of de bluehouse to take pics....( blue house is de place where de korean president stays) ....
Went to another theme park after that...de lotteworld adventure park...de largest indoor theme park in de world....went on 2 rides only as de queue was too long....
Stayed at de lotteworld hotel .....
Day 7
Last few hours in korea....b4 going bck to sg....went to de cordyceps showroom...amethyst factory...and a place for last min shopping...bought some stuff back....not much though...after all that....we went to de airport for our flight....
well....overall the trip was fun....i wan to go for more holidays.....well now that i'm bck...its also bck to reality...o lvl results coming out.....creepy....dun feel anything bck in nov and dec...now jan le...it really starts to be creepy....
b4 that....its bck to having nothing to do again....alone at home...zzzzzz.....parents is working....most of my friends are either working or are in sch...now dat sch reopen le....
